What Polotno Studio actually is

  • A full browser editor with no login: Templates, Assets, Brand Kit, Text, Draw, Videos, Background, Layers and Resize in the left toolbar (seen hands-on 22 July 2026)
  • Export confirmed in the Download dialog without an account: JPEG, PNG, PDF, SVG, HTML, GIF, JSON and MP4. PPTX is marked coming soon
  • Background removal and simple video are in the free Studio

Limits and catches

  • Polotno Studio runs on the Polotno SDK, which is not open source but a commercial developer product, as polotno.com/sdk states outright
  • Fewer templates and stock assets than Canva. It aims at fast one-off exports, not at teamwork or brand management at scale
  • There is no account storage, so if you close the tab without exporting the JSON, your work is gone

What does Polotno Studio cost?

Completely free, and no account or signup needed. The Studio opens straight into a working design editor (tested 22 July 2026): open it, design, export, close the tab. No paywall on the editor, and no visible watermark in the export dialog.
